Frequently Asked Questions

Does The Bookworm buy and sell used books?
The Bookworm has an in-store inventory of over 15,000 new books.  Upon request we will seek for and purchase used books from a network of distributors and independent stores.  With the exception of collectible books, The Bookworm does not buy used books from the general public.

Does The Bookworm specialize in any particular kinds of books?
No.  Over time we accumulate information on the interests and preferences of our customers and we adapt accordingly.

I don't see all or any of the titles from my favorite author in your store.  Why is that?
There are currently over 1 million titles in print.  Not even the largest chain store can possibly stock everything.  We keep an inventory that represents the major interests of our customers, but we cannot know what you do not tell us.  Nonetheless, we have access to warehouses that contain most titles in print that are only two or three business days away, which is extremely fast as compared to chain stores.
